That is because the crab is better on the East and Gulf coasts than
on the West Coast!!! You need blue crab for a good crab cake.

In the meantime, I am proposing meeting at 1 PM on Thursday and
Friday on the upper deck of the Fleet Club for barbecue, oyster,
beer, and mount gay - this is the only reason I go to the boat show
which is to eat at the Fleet Club which is open to the public duriing
the boat show - and a good place for pit stops as well as pit barbecue.
