This was a great suggestion! I'm sure it drew a lot of raised eyebrows. I
set my system up with the squeeze bulb and it took about 10 pumps to prime
the system. I wonder what the longevity of this setup will be...

After disassembling everything, I discovered that I have a Racor OEM filter
setup. It looks a lot like the 200 series with 4 ports. There's a port on
top for a gauge which I will install at some point.

That old electric fuel pump I mentioned turns out to be still useable. It is
an ancient Walbro model and they still make rebuild kits for it. I have
removed it from the fuel line and might find a use for it elsewhere.

The biggest gotcha I had with re-priming was bleeding the air from the
system. I've done this before, but this time I forgot there are two places
to bleed the air: the filter bleed screw and the fuel injection pump bleed
screw.

Thanks for the help folks.
