You are right on the money! The killer set up is diesel electric. US
Submarines were powered this way before Nuclear Power made them obsolete;
however, this power arrangement is the way of the future for recreational
boating. I would love to do this; however the cost right now would be
prohibitive... so I guess I am just going to have to wait this one out. if
you see any articles addressing this configuration, please pass them on, as
I am keenly interested.
