Hi back Paul. Thanks for the info. I have been Looking at the Kyocera panels and feel, from input from others and manufacturers specs, that you made the correct choice. It's nice to have validation to your conclusions.
I look forward to more on your cruise.
Thanks.

Hi Rick, I have fitted 2*125w Kyocera solar panels, a local pipe bender made a gantry for me. Down in sunny Portugal I was getting 14 Amps @ 12V for many hours. Besides the engine/alternator we don't have any other source of power. I will let the group know how they perform on our transatlantic trip later this year as the performance of the panels directly relates to the temperature of the beers and as such is crucial.

They do restrict the movement of the Hydrovane a little but I really couldn't think of a better place to put them.

I have put a higher definition picture on my website at http://www.lady-stardust.co.uk/topofmast.htm

I am also looking at power supply for cruising. Does anyone have a generator in their Baba 30, how many kw, where is it installed etc? Any opinions on solar panels?

  Thanks.
