What is the moral to the story?

I am not sure... I have looked at those vibration dampers and glad now I
don't have one. Maybe the secret is to align the engine to the shaft to
minimize this vibration? I am only speculating here.

One thing for sure... if the line is a painter or a two line, make sure it
is one of the new strong floating types, I am not sure of the trade name,
but there is some incredible lines out there that float and this problem
could be avoided. I realize it is no insurance against lobster pots and
fishing nets, but at least you won't foul the prop on your own lines.

On a different subject... Bella is completing here "pre-deployment" overhaul
at Baja Naval. She now sports a SP75 bow thruster, 5 coats of epoxy w/ new
bottom paint and looks... almost new. Other additions include a new sea
chest for sea water with a large sea strainer that serves the main engine,
gen set, and water maker... it is awesome.

I know I promised several people pictures of this installation and I will
try to comply as soon as I get back in the drink. The installation takes 3
weeks and I doubt there is anyone on the West Coast that could do a better
job and especially at the price, so remember Baja Naval if you are in the
market for a bow thruster.

Also there is a mast grounding plate being added to the hull. This is
another innervating design with many sharp edges to dissipate a strike
should I every have this misfortune. I have pictures of this as well and try
to post them soon.

There is a new shelf stowage locker in the lazerette and in the outboard
locker of the galley that houses all my chemicals, as well as a new locker
in the bottom of the lazerette to stows large and cumbersome tools and
provides a flat surface for standing and getting in and out of this locker.

My old Addler ?? ref plant almost gave up the ghost, but I had a local come
and recharge it with... Catch this "freon R12."

That's all for now. Bella is sporting new colors as I finally got rid of the
blue. Now there is no blue onboard, The sky is blue, and the ocean is blue
at times, so I do not want blue, I will save it for nature.

Have a great summer and keep those sails full, Bella starts shake down next
week.
