Not looking for the cheapest, rather comparing prices at this time to see
who has what.

Cheapest price is not always the best way to go with sails... and a fancy
name isn't either. First consider if you want to incorporate a reefing
system (boom or mast) or head sail furling as this is the time... now, these
mains cannot be retrofitted if you decide to make this upgrade later as the
cut of the sail is different. Maybe you already know this and have already
made this consideration? If not you might want to postpone the decision for
a season to really get what you want. Talk to a good rigger about your
options... then consult on who touse for a sailmaker. Cutting edge
sailmakers cater to the racing industry and are not a wise choice for
cruising sails that need to be strong and durable, so I would recommend not
using them as they get a premium just for their name and theyare not keen on
cruising sails.
I use a sail makeer in San Diego... Ullman Sails. I know the sail maker
"Tommy" personally, the salesman "Jim" and most of the staff.

I had a Quantum Main built, for my Baba 30, 6 months ago for $1900.00.
It
has 3 reef points, 2 full battens and 2 3/4 battens. It is open shelved.
I
ordered at the Quantum loft in Seabrook TX. I got estimates from North,
Percoco, Banks and several others and none could match the quality or
price
which Terry Flynn offers. This is the 14th. sail I have purchased from
this
loft, dating 14 years.
