Thanks to all for the good wishes, I spent last evening and early morning
repainting boottop and antifoul. The surveyor had a good look inside and
nothing had moved at all, he was very impressed as he saw the forces that
were acting on the hull when it was over, the hull was indented by over an
inch in the area of the drawers under the v berth, port side. He had
expected bulkheads to have moved but it was solid.
Anyway, I re-launched this morning and besides the broken stanchion,
everything is wonderful again.
I had about 80 yards of 3/8th Chain in the anchor locker, on the bowsprit
are 2*35lb CQR anchors, plus a 4 man liferaft stowed out of the way right
next to the chain locker, also the V-berth was full of power tools and other
junk, I also have an inflatable stowed on deck, just in front of the cabin
top. All in all I think these may have combined to shift the CG forward.
A common thing over here in the UK with tidal ranges of 9 metres in many
areas is to dry out against a harbour wall for a scrub, I think I will have
to be very careful if I do this.
