Hi all,
 
I love my boat but if there was one thing I could change, it would be the main sheet. I'm sure someone out there has crafted a better solution than what I have.
 
(Please forgive my lack of correct terminology) My system consists of a 3 sets of pullies under the boom going to a single block mounted on the traveler. The forward pully on the boom leads the sheet up to the mast, then additional pieces of gear lead the sheet down the mast to the deck then under the dodger and back to the cockpit. The ratio of line I need to pull vs. movement on the mast makes pulling in the main quite a chore (3 feet of line moves the boom about a foot, not to mention with all the pullies and re-routing, it's just plain difficult even in light wind.
 
Has anyone designed a better way?
