Thanks.
I would call the marina, but it's on the hard and shrink-wrapped...and 2.5
hours away from my home.
I'm pretty sure the pedestal guard is 9.5" wide, 54" tall, and 1" diameter.
Stock knock-off stuff. Pete has supplied quite a bit of info.
18"?!? Wow! Who made that one? Have any pictures?
I have two concerns. One, I can read the instruments from my captain's
chairs where we spend most of the time when outside (yawn!) and two (and
most important), I don't want to reach through the wheel for the bow
thruster (and future windlass) control when docking/anchoring. Not looking
for a broken arm....
So...I need it taller than 54" (see my picture). I'd prefer a straight one,
since I don't really need the offset (and don't want it encroaching on the
cockpit table), but I might have to go that way. Has any one used an angled
guard? Seems like it would give you less to hang on to. But again, it also
encroaches on the table.

Based simply on looking at your picture it sure looks to be 9.5" wide - I
believe the common choices are 9.5" (center-to-center?) for Edson and 12"
for Lewmar-Whitlock. Just to confuse things mine is a full 18" wide - I
like the stability but sure can't find any multi instrument cluster to fit.
Any body else out there have one as wide as mine?
The tubing looks like 1" to me - again, just from looking at the picture and
using the instruments and compass to provide some scale.
Perhaps you could call the marina and ask them to do a set of measurements
for you?

Does anyone have this information for a Grand Deer (Edison knock-off) for a
Baba/Panda 40?
Pedestal guard:
Width of rails on the guard: 9.5" or 12"?
Diameter or rail: 1" or 1.25"?
Height of guard? 54" or what?
