We discovered that as our Panda 40 backs up the bow falls off faster than
any other steering or prop correction can be applied, so that in a short
amount of time the stern is pointing directly into the wind - sort of like
being in irons. The wind direction is now our primary concern when "making
sternway". In tight quarters we use spring lines...
