I was getting a lot of smoke - same engine. Problem was a clogged
exhaust elbow.
These need to be replaced periodically - not a hard job to do.

Re pitching - does anyone have this engine and a Max Prop - and if
so, do you know how the prop is pitched?? I cannot reach maximum
speed (I am looking for 6.65 which I used to get and others get) with
this prop.
