We have just acquired a Carel digital thermostat for our refrigerator system. The thermostat uses a thermister for sensing temperature. The thermister and its leads are encased in what looks to be ordinary wire insulation - it looks like a little elongated bulb at the end of lampcord. How can an ordinary human affix this to a stainless steel holding plate? Special tape? Clay? Bubble gum? (It is too wide to use the clamp for the mechanical thermistor built in to the holding plate.)
