We use Pro Furls for jib and staysail and have been
pleased with them. The drums are open which makes
clearing the occassional fouled furling line easier
and checking the set screws underneath the furling
line easier. They also fit over the Sta-Lok terminals
and are not part of the stays (as is the case on some
other brands). They come (or came?) with a lifetime
warrenty on the bearings, which we used a couple of
years ago after the furlers had been on the boat for
19 years. Pro Furl replaced the bearings and seals for
free, altho we had to pay the cost of shipping them to
the representative.
