Mine is also on the stern rail, but offset to one side so that it
doesn't interfere with the Monitor windvane. (Still adjusted to point
directly aft). But I like the idea of having it higher - I have a
pole around the lower 6 feet of the backstay which holds the radar
dome - could easily move the light to the top of the pole, running
the wires inside along with the radar, VHF, and WiFi cables. Hmmm,
something else to add to the list...
