Yes, I have a wind generator on a stainless pole that stands 10' above the
combing. Just below the blade diameter I mounted the stern light with wire
inside the pole. In heavy weather and at night it makes me look like a much
bigger boat as the light does not disappear behind waves. If you do not have
a wind gen pole how about mounting it on the stern rail or maybe on a short
1" diameter pipe vertical from the stern rail. This would get the light up
high and more visible.

Subject: [Baba-L] Obstructed stern light

I need to get my stern light off the combing, due to davits and dingy,
because it's obstructed.

Has anyone raised their stern light? What did you do?

Thanks.
