I really should bug Raritan about this but since I have your
attention... [grin] The inlet line for our Compact II has a vented loop
in it but the Compact II pump basically just sucks air (from the vent)
so I've had to seal the loop. I'm not happy about that for obvious
safety reasons but it's that or no commode so...

Suggestions?

Also, going back to plumbing in general, comments on using hard pipe?
It's my impression this is stuff better left on shore than used in a
boat; houses don't move, boats do, and that can cause cracks in hard
pipe or fittings. Comments?

I redid the plumbing in our Baba 35 after a "rock star" Annpolis boat
installation whiz bungled the job (e.g., I pulled out 10' of excess
hose!). The discharge from a LectraSan (found that if we really keep it
salty, it works like a charm) can either go overboard or the holding
tank. I used a new Jabsco Y-valve (the new, big, black one, not the old
"sliding plate" design). However, I suspect there maybe some small
amount of leakage into the holding tank even when overboard discharge is
selected. Again, comments?
