Ronco doesn't do custom tanks...they don't have to, 'cuz it's a VERY
rare boat that at least one of their 400 shapes/sizes won't fit.

Contact these folks for a quote: http://www.triplemplastics.net/ They
ONLY do custom welded PP tanks, and for a very reasonable price. They're
in Maine, btw.

Good quality, but a lot pricier. Not as pricy as having a tank made in
the UK and shipped over though. In RI.

Actually, if you have the math skills to determine the tank size
(gallons), you CAN search within that range of sizes, which narrows down
the search considerably. There are so many possible locations and
location shapes on any boat, it wouldn't be practical to do it any other
way. However, if you're committed to just one place for a tank and
refuse to consider any other location, it CAN be hard to find a tank
that fits.

They are...the cost to make a mold is too prohibitive to make one-off
rotomolded tanks affordable

They are indeed...

But that's not true. Ronco Plastics is just as professional and makes at
least as good or better tank. They just don't do custom one-offs,
Tek-Tanks does. And from all reports, Triple M Plastics and C.C. Tech
are also very professional--and DO make custom one-offs. However, their
custom tanks are welded PP, not rotomolded PE.

Because they ARE the supplier. They're a tank mfr, not a just a retailer
or distributor.

Yup, that would indeed be me. :)

What non-compete?? With whom???? I don't have any non-compete with
anyone..never have. And, for the record, I'm not connected or affiliated
in ANY way with ANY mfr or retailer, nor do I sell ANYthing (not even my
own book)...so I don't have any axe to grind by recommending
anything...I "calls 'em as I sees 'em," based solely on nearly 20 years
of my own experience--about 10 of which, we were distributors for every
major mfrs of sanitation equipment and accessories (I sold my company in
1999)--and that of literally thousands of boat owners.

Because an aeration system only works if the tank CONTENTS are
continuously aerated. Otherwise, when you turn it back on, it'll just
push noxious gasses out the vent until it can turn material that has
been allowed to become anaerobic to into an aerobic condition again...a
process that can take anywhere from hours to a day or longer, depending
on the size of the tank.

However, if a tank is small enough (typically up to about 40 gal,
depending on the depth) and the vent line is short enough, straight
enough, horizontal enough and of sufficient diameter to provide
sufficient exchange of air to keep the tank aerobic passively via the
vent, aerating the contents isn't necessary...you'd only need to help
out that process by using an organic or bio-active tank product--i.e.
Odorlos or Raritan K.O.--according to directions.
