Hi Alan,

Our pump is a Guzzler hand pump (Rick wants to replace it with an
electric one) and it's mounted on the aft bulkhead, just over the hole
where the holding tank fittings are located. (Right about where you'll
always draw some blood from the door catch when you pump!) The pumpout
diverter will be located just below the input side of that pump with the
input side of the diverter right over the pumpout fitting on the tank.
That's the only part of the system that's been fully discussed with the
captain at this time.

The other diverter will probably go directly opposite (on the forward
side of the cabinet. The vented loop "should" go on the same cabinet
wall with the top almost touching the under-side of the counter. I think
that will be high enough to prevent any back-flow problems. all of the
fittings (and some of the long runs will be PVC. Peggie pointed me to
Sealand's "Custom Hose Adapter" which will let you connect 1.5" hose
fittings to standard PVC fittings. ($2.05 at Fisheries Supply.)

I plan on keeping you guys posted on the progress and I sure hope you
will do the same. Hopefully it will be something that even Dave Lewis
will approve of. (Sorry Dave, I couldn't resist! ;-))
