I was wondering why the "full chart set" you referred to was only
"550-290M". Then I looked at your link and realized that these were
the NOAA ENC charts, which explains why the set is so small.

The ENC charts are VERY small in comparison to the Maptech's BSB
charts... and can be downloaded with a single mouseclick (and only a
couple of hours of transfer time). Maptech's BSB charts are the ones
that are so hard to get together. These alone are 4.36 GB on the
disk. Since Maptech provides such an inefficient means of finding
them, you end up downloading at least 3 times that amount and then
filtering out the duplicates... 15 GB takes a long time to download
with ANY modem or connection.

In addition, I provide a search engine that you can't get ANYWHERE
else, with detailed information of all charts on the disk. The most
you can get from NOAA and Maptech is the Chart Name and Scale. The
listing data includes:

      Chart Name
      Regions & Sections Containing The Chart
      File Name
      NOAA Chart#
      Ver#
      Edition
      Scale
      Resolution
      X-Dist
      Y-Dist
      Latitude Range
      Longitude Range

PS: Thanks for helping me prove value. A few minutes browsing the
site should convince anyone of the value of the DVD. By the way... do
you think a discount might be appropriate for the Baba group? As a
soon-to-be Baba owner, I want to keep in good stead!
