Just want everyone to know I signed up and tested Cindy's List and it works
great. There is now an alternative should SailJazz shut down unexpectedly.
The sign up is easy and to send mail, address it to:

baba-l@ballreich.net

The mail message shows up on the web site and comes in on your email.
We now have one viable option up and running. It's worth a look and a try
out. If the vote goes in another direction there is nothing lost. It's
always good to have choices.

Richard has asked me to let the group test my mailing list. I'm not
completely sure that this is a good idea because I don't want to push my
concepts on the group - I really think this needs to be a democratic
decision. However, if anyone wants to check out what I've got set up,
send an email to majordomo@ballreich.net with the words "subscribe
baba-l" (without the quotes) in the body of the message. The listserv
will end you a confirmation message with a code in it. You should with
the line containing the code. (Just send the line with the code on it -
delete everything else.) Once that's done you can send and receive
messages from the list.

Nothing is particularly pretty or fancy. I can make it a little
friendlier if the group decides this is what they want. I will also add
the list of collected email addresses so subscribed members will not
need to resubscribe.
