I know that any windlass installation will probably require a new
hole in the deck. And, I know that that is not anything any of us
want. But if you want the benefits of self storing chain and the ease
of changing your mind about where you dropped the hook, then get over it!

I have a photo of what I did and a mental image of what I would do if
I got to do it over. Happy to send photo and discuss alternatives.
