Regarding asbestos, as far as I know, the one place that needs attention
is the insulation around the exhaust line leading from the engine to the
mixing elbow (where raw water is injected in the the exhaust system).
I'm fairly certain the original line was cover with asbestos cloth.
However, that was replaced with a non-asbestos cloth when OWTW's mixing
elbow was replaced a few years ago. The elbow shows signs of corroding
and I'll have the covering replaced again (just to be sure) as part of
replacing the elbow. Otherwise, I doubt very much the material was used
in the original boat. It may, however, have been added in ovens or
heaters - I'd check for that.
