Great topic! This is one of those topics that comes up every 3-6 months and that's just fine. Each time someone has found the most kick-butt product of all time. Each time I learn something new. Had heard of Honey Teak, but didn't realize it was a varnish.

The instructions mention 'thick coats'. How does that work on vertical surfaces? There's that gravity thing to think about.

I did a lot of varnishing this summer on various small wood pieces. I used average joe Helmsman varnish with really nice results. Of course, I have no idea how this will hold up over time. Still, it made me curious enough. Has anyone had any long-term experience with this stuff?

Honey Teak does sound like the ticket. "3 coats in one day". We have limited time (who doesn't) and weather conditions are always a roll of the dice.

I was thinking I'd use Bristol Finish, but after doing some research I found it less than favorable. Practical Sailor rated it pretty low. They picked Epiphanes as the best. But, like most varnishes, Epiphanes wants 24 hrs between coats.
