Hi. 6K is about right if someone wants to use your pockets as a springboard to becoming rich. Port Townsent Supply has an electric tool that will make very quick work of the old deck calk. My friend has a Bristol Channel Cutter which required re-calking. Equipment required was the above mentioned tool ($300), approx 12 rolls of blue masking tape ($50) and 26 tubes of Sikaflex 291 ($450). The total cost was under $1000 for materials and took 3 days with two of us doing the job. The BCC has a bit more teak than my Baba 30. My boat has teak everywhere on deck except the cabin top.
Just food for thought.
