I still have my original MD11C and it has started every time..
I replaced the transimission (reverse gear) once.. Had a bad seal and all t=
he oil ran out before I caught it.. Changed it myself at the dock..Picked up=
 a used one for 300 dollars.
Even with dead batteries it can and has been started with the hand crank. =
You work up a little sweat on this one but it can be done..
Love my MD11.
It's ugly but it keeps on ticking.
