Boat/US will not insure our Tashiba 40 because it is on a mooring during
summer months. They insist it is less hazardous to have the vessel tied
between a few telephone pole pilings during a hurricane instead of chained
to a 500 lbs mooring. I guess they have the statistics to prove it but I
like being isolated from stationary objects during severe weather.
