Good point - and one that makes BOAT/US even less appealing. OWTW is
currently valued at $82.5K for insurance ($1100 premium) while the
Tashiba 36 is valued at $117K for insurance ($750 premium). Although
we've had two claims (the last five years back), we are getting a "no
claim" discount. If the USCG Aux discount applies to the Tashiba, it's
a 20% discount.

And, yes, OWTW is under-insured IMHO, but BOAT/US refuses to raise the
coverage even when saying book value is at least $10K higher. They're
worried we'll scuttle the boat as soon as the coverage goes up. I don't
doubt for a minute some people do such things. But BOAT/US can't figure
out how to determine the difference between an insurance scam and a real
loss? Riiiiight... [frown]
