After 6 months of replacing chainplates, renewing bulkheads, rewiring, cutless bearing etc..... I finally got to spend a week sailing Lady Stardust around the Irish Sea for the first time. I'm happy to report the boat performed fantastically, F5-6 seemed like a breeze. Thanks for all those who helped me with advice in making this boat seaworthy again.
One job I had been avoiding was reseating the stanchions, but having noticed two of them were slightly dripping, I will have to tackle this now. Does anyone have stanchions that have strengthening bars that attach to the side of the bulwark like mine, I have put a picture here http://www.lady-stardust.no-ip.org/misc.htm . How on earth do I get to the nuts on the inside of the bulwark without making a mess in the cabin and V berth?
Thanks
