I applaud all the efforts to keep the group together. I personally have
used both the Google Group and Cindy's list. They both work and I really
don't have a preference which is why I abstained from voting.

Managed via email, I don't see any reason you can't belong to both? (I'm
still try to see if I can get the Google group to email me at my Hotmail
account...)

I don't think Google Groups is going anywhere soon, so I'd bet that a Google
solution would be good for a few years and probably remain free as well.

The DIY solution probably gives us more flexibility and I'm more than happy
to help out with the admin of it, but it will be work from time to time and
I'm all too familiar with the various technical and political issues. What
I said in an earlier email offline to someone was "The DIY solution imposes
on one person, the Google solution imposes on us all equally".

If Cindy wants to run a list, I'll be happy to use it and contribute
anything I can!
