The best choice is stainless steel, then use a good sealant to make the
mounting air tight and all you will have to worry about is occasional
polishing. Bronze as we see here in parts of Mexico is tarnished beyond
recognition with acid rain; it turns a dark blue and loses its verde patina.

I have found the bronze to be MORE resistant to corrosiion and pitting than

Avoid chrome and bronze for sea applications stainless is hard enough to
keep clean let alone the others. Chrome is impossible and bronze is
susceptible to corrosion and pitting.

If you are referring to caps for the deck fill fittings, mine seem to be of
standard diameter and thread, hopefully yours are too. See if any of the
