"We are getting ready to get cockpit cushions - Bottomsiders have the
Baba-30 with 4 cushions for $824, CCushions with 3 cushions for $906.
Does anyone have opinions of one versus the other?"
We have a four part set of Bottowsiders cushions for our Panda 40. Recommend a four piece design over three piece, as they are easier to move, store, wash, etc. Our cushions are a little over an inch thick which is just not quite enough to make them comfortable to sleep on by themselves on hot summer nights, but they are a lot more comfortable than sleeping on the teak benches. We have augmented them by gluing (sp?) sunbrella cloth on the top sides, which also eliminates a certain "sweat factor" as closed cell foam doesn''t breathe. With a big towel or blanket on top of that, they do all right. In hot weather you will find that you prefer sleeping in the cockpit as there just isn''t enough ventilation below. We also have a couple of sunbrella-covered bean bags in the cockpit, and they work great as pillows or bolsters.
