West Marine sells an outstanding looking heat exchange (copper nickel), it
does not need to be a specific unit, i.e., OEM type, just have to equivalent
capacity to do the job. I also recommend mounting it on the engine
compartment bulkhead rather then on the engine bracket provided with the
original installation.

Before I replaced mine with a new unit it was tested by a radiator
shop and found to have leaks. They merely soldered shut the leaking
tubes. It seemed to work ok like that, but I replaced it thinking
that more problems were in the future. If you are unable to find a
suitable replacement perhaps this could be done with yours?
