Rick,
As of now, I do not know of, and do not believe, there is such an
output/input on the Robertson control unit which would protect the
Alpha drive unit. However, I have been staring into space, thinking
of ways to retrofit the Robertson RFU to read the location of the
Alpha ram. A Morse cable is the thought that now comes to mind -
attaching it to the end of the ram, and having it control the RFU at
a remote location. It will require emptying the back of the boat,
putting cushions in the lockers, and spending a few days staring at
the whole thing, while awaiting inspiration. If NASA was able to put
a man on the moon, then, I - - - -
