Cindy, I passed on your excellent report to a friend who is doing the same
task on his Tayana 37 and told me a similar experience with the Multimaster
and almost joy at doing this most onerous task. Here is what he reports
after reading yours (is this enthusiasm going to create a run on Fein?):

By the way, you might tell Cindy Ballreich that there is no need to use
a dremel to clear out the seams. If she uses the 3/4 circle medium
abrasive grouting tool on the Fein Multimaster, it does a much better
job than the Dremel and it does it much faster. The Dremel can gouge the
side walls. I had briefly tried the Dremel and found that it caused
serious problems. I have become a total Fein Freak. It is expensive, but
worth every buck.

I deepened the seams a bit (with the Fein Grouting blade) to allow
filling with more caulking. I then flooded all the open seams with
Smith's CPES, allowed it to cure slightly, taped the seams, and started
pumping the TDS 440.
I found that on our T-37 I needed about 14 tubes to do all the decking
(not including the cockpit). I didn't stint, and really pumped in as
much TDS as I could. I never want to have to do this job again! The only
thing I left out was the 3M bond breaker tape. I bought some of the 3M
tape, but found it was such a pain to push it down in the seams, and the
TDS has so much elasticity (20-40%) that the bond-breaker tape seemed
like overkill.
