If asthetics is the only thing holding you back, I'd still go with the Bruce. That anchor has simply saved my bacon (and the bacon of others as well) in too many situations, to not be given pride of place on the bowsprit! The shank reaches for the stars, it is true, and the flukes reach for anything handy, evidently, when it comes to raw holding power.

Hope this helps...BTW, you can get a 'claw' anchor, I believe in the same specs as the Bruce at about 1/2 the price.
