Steve,
I shipped my 35 Ft from Michigan to Seattle for a little over $4500 in '97.
I had quotes from 11K. I tried to find the company, but they no longer seem
to be in business. Lessons learned. I didn't have to take off the bow or
stern pulpit. They measured under the 13ft? limit when on the trailer. I
did not have a time schedule, which allowed for the broker to schedule the
load at a convenient time, I.E. a back load which was cheaper. I waited an
extra two weeks for my boat to be delivered because of another schedule, but
it was worth the price. Bottom line, there is room to negotiate!
