We have that also. It's a big help, but mostly only for me 'cause I
sleep on that side. We'd like a step more-or-less beneath the drawers so
that we can get in and out without bruising our knees or waking up the
other person. ;-)

Speaking of bruises, why do you suppose that the bulkhead at the V-berth
is the only one that *isn't* arched?
