I'll pipe in here with a counter point.
I never had lazy jacks on my Pearson. But my Panda 40 came with a UK Lazy
Cradle, combo sail cover and lazy jacks. Our entire family loves it. The
lazy jacks get stored on the boom and mast when not in use. It's a breeze to
drop the sail in all weather. AND if I ever had to drop the sail quickly, I
just ignore the Lazy Cradle and use sail ties, though I've never done that.
Wouldn't be without the system, if some one paid me.
