Agreed. I have lazy jacks and well, I was too lazy to rig them this
season. I'm much happier dealing with the main now. The slight benefit
they might provide in ideal conditions is simply not worth their
annoyances.

IMHO, lazy jacks are for... lazy Jacks. Sorry, I know some people swear

by them but in the end, they get in the way, add windadge, complication,

holes in spars, and workload at a bad time. We don't have them OWTW
(but you knew that!) and I have never been unable to manage the main and

usually can put at least a fair flake on it if not a harbor flake. On a

few occasions we've had to do a downwind take-down. Try that with the
lazyjacks rigged. Better yet, don't Only your rigger and sailmaker
will like you for it.
