Sam Boyle has told me that, if he gets a gets the messages in mbox format
(unix mailbox) that he can try to post them on the SailJazz archives, where
they would be searchable from anyone with web access. Threading would be
maintained, I think.

The drawback to doing this is that e-mail addresses are not masked, as they
currently are when they are posted on the SailJazz site. Cindy, if you can
do this, we might have the best of all options and the simplest for all.

What we would need is as complete a file as we can get to be posted. Maybe
Rick even has an mbox file with all past posts? First, it could be sent to
you. Then you could forward it to Sam Boyle to see if he can archive it.

This would be great!

If there's an interest, I would could take a mbox format of the messages,
write a little Perl script to bash the email addresses, and then run the
whole thing through Hypermail with will turn it into a HTML archive. I'm not
sure that the Baba-Send format will let Hypermail keep the threading, but
the message names are pretty descriptive.

My personal archive only goes back to Sept 2002.
