Steve,

I don't think I have an answer to your questions; however, I did want you to
know I own hull #142, so it is safe to assume our boats are the same
generation in the production cycle.

I am always willing to share my experiences and have re-worked most all
systems onboard plus new rigging. The rigger helped adjust the mast I have
no reference for the amount of rake to suggest.

Re-setting my mast for the first time and was wondering what amount of mast
rake you have found optimal on a Baba 40? The setting before taking the mast
down last fall was around 2 degrees or about 14"+ measured at the boom
gooseneck from the back of the mast to a halyard hanging from the mast head.
This seems a little much for a cruiser. Also, has anyone noticed the mast
step (or possibly the partners) positioned off-center athwartships? Your
thought will be appreciated. Thanks.
