...when you're not using it?
Mandisa'a new inner forestay has a quick release. This is very cool! But
it makes the stay quite a bit longer and more awkward to deal with when
it's not attached to its tang on the bowsprit. Previously, we had
attached the stay to the starboard forward chainplate and used a bungee
(on the lifeline) to pull the slack away from the spreader. The new stay
has so much slack that this isn't working and it's interfering with the
genoa sheet. If anyone else who is using a quick release has solved this
problem, we'd appreciate hearing from them.

ps. The reason the new stay is longer is because the quick release
attaches directly to the tang. The old stay attached to a long turn
buckle about 2 feet from the tang.
